CRIMSON SERVICES RECEIVES ELEVEN EPA AWARDS FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Commercial Real Estate Firm Honored for Environmental Leadership in Texas, Colorado, and Florida

HOUSTON (October 8, 2009) - As cooling temperatures spark the annual flow of news reports on how to reduce energy costs this winter, today Crimson Services announced that tenants of its commercial properties are already ahead of the game. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded eleven Crimson Services buildings its prestigious ENERGY STAR
®. The government-run ENERGY STAR program recognizes the nation's most energy-efficient products and facilities.

As part of its ongoing commitment to first-class service and environmental stewardship, Crimson Services took the ENERGY STAR challenge in three states this year. Through efforts such as usage monitoring and upgrade installation, eleven buildings in Texas, Colorado, and Florida exceeded expectations by utilizing at least 35 percent less energy per square foot than comparable buildings. The EPA gives out the ENERGY STAR distinctions annually, and eleven awards is the firm's highest number to date.

"Energy efficiency is a priority we take very seriously, so we're thrilled that the EPA has recognized the progress our facilities have made in that area," said Executive Managing Director Don Thomas. "Conservation is a respectable goal from a social responsibility standpoint, but looking out for our clients' bottom lines is also just good business. It's ethical and economical."

According to EPA statistics, energy conservation efforts like Crimson's have had a staggering impact. In 2008 alone, Americans saved enough energy to cut greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to 29 million cars and $19 billion in utility bills.

Crimson's 2009 energy all-stars are: AtlanTech Tower, Corporate Center III, International Place I, Sawgrass Plaza, and Cornerstone One and Two in Florida; Anadarko Tower, 1200 Timberloch Place, and Town Center One and Two in Texas; and ParkRidge Four in Colorado. Several of these buildings, such as the 412,000 square-foot AtlanTech Tower in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, have also earned multiple recognitions from the Building Owners and Managers Association.

According to a recent EPA survey, more Americans value the ENERGY STAR program than ever before: About 75 percent of U.S. households now recognize the ENERGY STAR label. That label will be proudly displayed at each of Crimson's winning properties as the company continues its efforts to raise the bar in the commercial real estate business.
